Dragon’s Blood Red Halloween Punch Recipe

Dragons Blood Punch Hawaiian Punch Halloween #shop #cbias #spooky celebrations

This Dragon’s Blood Punch made with Hawaiian Punch and 7-up is quite delicious.  While it is perfect for Halloween with its deep blood  red color, I think this may end up being a year-round party drink for us.

Making this yummy red punch only uses three ingredients plus water. It’s super easy to make, but you’ll need to start a day ahead of time because for best results it should freeze overnight.

If you’re having an evening party, you should be able to get away with mixing it up in the morning and letting it freeze until party time.

To carry out the “Green” theme of St. Patrick’s Day, you can try this easy non-alcoholic St. Patrick’s Day Green Punch Recipe for your St. Paddy’s party or to accompany your traditional Irish meal in a non-traditional way. As-is the punch already has a nice light green color thanks to the lime juice concentrate and the sherbet, but if you want it to be REALLY green, you can always add a few drops of green food coloring.

Blueberry Muffin Smoothie Recipe

This smoothie recipe is perfect for when you’re craving a big fatty muffin, but want to opt for something more healthy, yet still delicious.  Since it uses oats, it’s nice and filling.  (NOTE: I know not everyone is crazy about oats in a smoothie because it gives it a different texture, but I like it!)

1/3 cup frozen blueberries*
1/4 cup quick oats
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp sugar (or honey))
1 cup milk

Place all in a blender and blend until smooth.

*If using fresh blueberries, you will want to add a bit of ice and decrease the milk to compensate for the ice.

Friendship Tea or "Russian Tea" Drink Mix Recipe

When I was little, my Grandma used to make this drink mix, which she called “Russian Tea”. I had almost forgotten about it until I recently got an e-mail from a local grocery chain, Coborn’s, with a recipe called Friendship Tea. Reading the ingredient list, I realized that it was basically the same Russian Tea recipe. This is a great recipe for a tasty warm drink on a cold day. You can package the mix in decorative jars to give as an easy but thoughtful gift.

1 Cup Tang or other Orange Flavored Drink Mix
1 Cup Powdered Lemonade Mix
1/2 Cup Instant Tea
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground Cloves

Mix all ingredients together and store in a tightly sealed jar or container.  To make the tea, stir 1 tablespoon of mix into 1 cup of hot water.
