How to Grill Sweet Corn on the Cob (in Husks)

Grilling corn on the cob tastes fantastic and is a great addition to any summer BBQ party.  It’s also very easy to do!

Start by peeling back the husk, leaving the bottom of each husk attached to the cob.  Remove the silk (some people call them the strings) by pullint/rubbing with your hands, or if they are tough use a moist paper town or vegetable brush.

Next, put the husks back in place to cover the corn.  To keep it extra tight you can use kitchen string, but that’s totally optional.  Then placestring things on the corn – from the  the corn in a large bowl/tub of water and let soak for a minimum of 30 minutes.  An hour or more is better.

Take the soaked corn and grill it over medium heat, turning, frequently, for about 20 minutes.  Enjoy!

Check Out the NEW Quaker Soft Baked Bar

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Quaker Oats for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

QSBB Yum Image high res.jpg

There is something NEW from Quaker!  It’s the Quaker Soft Baked Bar.  It’s a wholesome food made from real fruits and nuts.  You can eat it straight out of the package on-the-go, or for a warm “bakery style” treat you can warm it in the microwave.
There are two delicious new flavors:  Cinnamon Pecan Bread and Banana Nut Bread.  They both sound good to me, but I think the Cinnamon Pecan Bread would be my favorite.  I love cinnamon and love pecans, so it just has to be yummy.  But since I love regular banana nut bread, I would definitely have to change it up with the Banana Nut Bread flavor from time to time.   No matter which flavor, it would be a very handy breakfast snack to toss in my purse on the way out the door.  I have a one hour drive a few days a week and I like to use the time to eat!
And since we are trying to eat more healthy foods, this fits into the mix.  Each Quaker Soft Baked Bar contains:

• 140 calories
• 5g of Fiber
• 6g of Protein
• Excellent source of 5 B-Vitamins
So, you’re not just having a yummy treat, you’re fueling your body for a busy day.
