Easy Balsamic Vinaigrette Salad Dressing Recipe

Making your own salad dressings is much cheaper than buying them from the store and I personally think they taste SOOOO much better! This is a quick and easy recipe that makes a little over 1/4 cup of dressing. If you want more, just double/triple/quadruple, etc.

1 1/2 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 Clove Garlic, minced
Salt & Pepper to taste (just a few dashes)
3 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Mix vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper. Stir until salt is dissolved. Add olive oil and stir well.

Leftover dressing can be stored in the refrigerator, but it should be brought to room temperature before being used.

Make Your Own Taco Seasoning Mix

Rather than buying the little packets of taco seasoning mix, you can make your own and save a lot of $$ over time. If any of the spices aren’t ones that you use regularly, just buy a little bit from the bulk foods section of your grocery store or local health food store so that you don’t have to buy a whole container just to make this mix.

4 1/2 tsp. chili powder
4 1/2 tsp. cumin
3 tsp. garlic powder
3 tsp. paprika
1 1/2 tsp. onion powder
1 1/2 tsp. dried minced onion
1 tsp. cilantro (dried)
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper

Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. Use 1 Tbsp of this mix in place of a packet of taco seasoning.
